The Dixie Duo

A duo full of New Orleans and swing style jazz with surprise additions of old R and B standards.

The group consists of Tom Lawrence on 7 string guitar which covers the bass and chords and also the 6 string banjo. Tom is a former L.A. studio musician with 30 years of professional experience in all styles with a true love for jazz. The other half of the group is Dick Glass, retired from the Navy band of 26 years. Dick plays the flugelhorn and banjo and trades back and forth from one to the other
with ease. Also adept on upright bass and piano, Dick plays the horn and comps on the piano at the same time. This duo has worked countless gig's together including luncheons at the State Dept. Department of Labor, Census Bureau, HUD, Post Office Museum, corporate events, private parties and more. If you want something truly different and exciting at your affair, this is the group! The Rhythm Kings are a trio featuring Tom Lawrence on guitar, Larry Boozer on sax and Glenn Harris on bass.
